The Enterprise Companies
Located near Lake Shore Drive with a dynamic view of both Lake Michigan and the Museum Campus, 1600 Museum Park explores the complexity of overlapping.
A soaring cantilever of glass and concrete defines the leading edge of the lakefront façade, culminating in an open air roof portal at the summit. The building’s base incorporates a series of horizontal glass panels, the random coloring of each forming part of a complex and unique visual pattern. Vertical concrete framing at the corners of the tower elegantly define the middle section of each façade. Each of these façades were specifically designed to respond to their own unique city and water views, allowing the character if the building to continually change as one moves around it. The roofline has been sculpted into a series of smaller elements that both give importance to the building’s lakefront gesture and create outdoor spaces for swimming pools and deck areas. compositions within a framework of controlled, yet expressive modernity. |
