Haberdasher Square
American Invsco
Comprised of an existing 12-story reinforced concrete building, and a renovated 8-story, heavy timber structure, the design of the project incorporates dwellings whose interior spaces are unified around a sweeping curved wall and soffit. Twelve-foot ceilings, and careful organization of pipes and ductwork serve to further define space and allow natural light to reach the most remote points. The bold, gothic inspired lobby design enriches the entry and becomes the counterpoint against which the new interior lobby and corridors are derived. Large columns, restored plate glass windows, and a march of large columns provide counterbalance to the oversized building lobbies which stretch to new elevators at both sides of the buildings.
