robert braziunas Bob joined Pappageorge/Haymes in 2000 and has been actively involved in all phases of design and construction for each of his project assignments. His unique experience and ability to integrate all aspects of planning and design make him a valuable resource and leader. His recent projects in Chicago include Michigan Avenue Towers 1 & 2, 353 N. Des Plaines @ K Station, and 830 S. Michigan Avenue. Outside Chicago, his recent projects include Park Lafayette, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; The Oaks District, Houston, Texas; and Market Station, Salt Lake City, Utah. Bob began his career in the 1970s at Chicago Associates Planners & Architects – where he was elected to the firm’s Board of Directors at the age of 25. In 1981 he moved to Europe for two years to pursue language studies in France and further expand his architectural experience in Switzerland at the firm of Heidi + Peter Wenger, working on a technical school and major post office. He came back to Chicago and worked on production and custom single family housing for six years, then returned to Paris, where he served as project manger for the G7 Summit, hosted by France during the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution. He also worked on hotels, multiplex cinemas, commercial centers, television headquarters and studios, police headquarters, a wide variety of housing projects and worldwide retail build-outs for LVMH, the largest luxury goods group in the world. Later, he established a planning and design consulting firm providing initial development strategies, concept design and client contact for various architectural firms in Paris. Upon returning to the U.S. in 1997, he worked as project manager/designer at Johnston Associates, Inc. in Park Ridge, Illinois, again becoming involved with production housing, but also, franchise build-outs, restaurants and commercial centers before joining Pappageorge/Haymes. |
