The 7 3/4 acre site of a former factory becomes an exclusive neighborhood of 96 townhomes, 37 single-family residences, and 77 condominiums. Contextual characteristics of adjacent townhomes, single-family homes and the existing three-story loft building on the site suggest building type locations and the site planning strategy. Three access points are created to organize the site and each resulting interior street is given a unique character. A tree lined boulevard, a promenade of rowhouses terminating in a court, and a gateway offer the opportunity for distinctive environments. Twelve different unit configurations, landscaping, and building exteriors, are molded to respond to these site planning concepts and result in a controlled yet uniquely lively series of spaces.
