Museum Park
The Enterprise Companies / Central Station Development
The project’s architecture provides a respectful language attempting to communicate with the existing museum campus vernacular, providing a recognizable Chicago Style building context and promoting a comfort level for homebuyers in this new residential neighborhood. The buildings architecture is easily understood, familiar, and in harmony with the neighborhood’s established traditional vernacular. The diversity of housing types and the careful attention to detail, materials, and variety contribute to a true sense of community – creating a sense of place with a strong urban presence on all streets. With front façades and front doors, always facing the public ways, a friendly neighborhood and pedestrian environment is allowed to emerge. Historic antecedents help define and anchor the neighborhood into its surrounding context, while the new infrastructure provides a springboard from which it may transition toward a more modern architectural language
