Georgi began his professional career at Tzonkov Architectural Group LTD, Sofia, Bulgaria, where he worked as a student intern, and later, as project architect. During this time, he was involved in various projects and constructions including single-family homes, office and commercial buildings, historic renovations, and urban design. In addition, Georgi worked independently as lead project architect, managing several small residential, hospitality, and industrial projects in Bulgaria.

Georgi is a licensed architect in the states of Illinois and Florida, as well as in his home country Bulgaria. He has been involved in a diversity of typologies in and around Chicago, including: Wheaton Senior Living, a new Senior Living Community in Wheaton; 1338 W. Belmont, a modern, 4-story, mixed-use condominium building in Lakeview; Alta Roosevelt, a 496-unit residential tower in the South Loop; and Wolf Point East - 60-story, 698-unit residential mixed-use tower in River North. As an associate at Pappageorge Haymes Partners, Georgi takes charge in BIM management of significant high-rise projects in the firm and helps to navigate and coordinate the design process utilizing VDC technologies.
