CHRISTOPHER E. CHIU

Christopher attended school at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Science in Architecture. He received scholarship nominations for his work, and one project also earned a third place award in a national student design competition for the innovative use of precast concrete in a facade.

Chris offers significant professional experience with multiple project types, in most phases of project development, product research, regulation research, design, construction documentation, bidding and construction administration.

In 2008, while pursuing his studies, he worked at Thomas Brock Architect, Chicago, Illinois, where he remained for seven years focusing primarily on institutional and commercial renovation work, including public and charter school renovation projects. Responsibilities included site research, 3D modeling and rendering, physical scale model construction, design development assistance, construction documentation, permitting, construction administration and project closeouts.

In 2010 Christopher was also selected by Arturo Vittori (co-founder of Architecture and Vision) to join a collaboration for a competition entry - The City+ The Arch+ The River-2015, St. Louis - among a seasoned team of professionals including Architecture & Vision, RFR Engineers, POLA Landscaping, and Keller & Damm Urban Design.

Since joining Pappageorge Haymes Partners in 2015, Chris has been involved in a wide range of mixed use/residential projects, including high rise construction projects. Ongoing responsibilities include assistance with schematic design, 3D modeling and rendering, design development, construction documentation, permitting, consultant coordination and construction administration.
