Senior Project Architect

Ovi began his professional career as an architectural junior designer at S.B.Ruben and Associates, Rolling Meadows, Illinois, where he expanded the firm’s capabilities to include 3D rendering and BIM modeling. In 2009 he decided to spend several years gaining experience in architectural building systems through apprenticeships at various construction companies, including Sylvio Home Improvements, Libertyville, Illinois, ServioPro, Palatine, Illinois, and Ted Construction, Deerfield, Illinois. Projects included the renovation of his 60-year old home, which furthered his hands-on experience in carrying a project from design concept to construction completion. He later joined J. Hershey Architecture, Libertyville, Illinois as an architectural associate, involved in various residential, commercial, retail and mixed-use projects, including: Exercise Coach™ fitness facilities throughout Chicagoland and Dallas, 416 N. Milwaukee retail space restoration, and various single family residential renovations. Additionally, he led the firm in developing 3D renderings in ArchiCAD and formulated reserve studies for residential condominiums.

Since joining PH, Ovi has been involved in a diversity of residential and mixed-use projects in Chicago, including: NEXT Apartments; a 28-story, 310-unit residential tower, 465 N. Park; a 48-story, 444-unit residential tower, Kenect Apartments; a 14-story and 4-story residential mixed-use complex with 227 dwelling units and 14,000 sq. ft. of retail, Alta Roosevelt; a 33-story, 496-unit, residential tower, 1400 Museum Park; a 34-story, 260-unit residential tower, Walton on the Park; a 31-story, 189-unit residential tower, and Alta Grand Central; a 14-story, 346-unit, residential tower.
