PH on the River: Spot Our Projects This Summer Along the Chicago River
It’s summertime in Chicago! With more people spending time along the river, it’s the perfect opportunity to spotlight the buildings and spaces that help shape the city. We’re proud to share several PH projects that contribute to the evolving riverfront landscape. As you stroll along the water or cruise down the river, keep an eye out for places we’ve helped bring to life, starting in Streeterville and the Loop, moving through River North and the West Loop, and ending in the South Loop—mirroring the path of Chicago’s famed architecture boat tours.
STREETERVILLE AND THE LOOP
600 North Lake Shore Drive: Set just steps from Lake Michigan, 600 North Lake Shore Drive brings luxury living to life across two slender towers. These high-rises are thoughtfully spaced a street width apart and nestled into an integrated parking facade with a green wall system that activates the garage. The towers’ design features flowing ribbons of glass framed by concrete, maximizing panoramic views of the lake, Navy Pier, and the city skyline.
🏆 Awards: Beautification Award for New Residential Development Landscape by the Streeterville Organization of Active Residents (SOAR).
530 North Lake Shore Drive: This luxury condominium combines classic materials with refined urban design. Articulated precast panels and a granite base define the street-level facade, while three prominent bays of glass, granite, and precast mark the main entrances. Above, fluted columns, reminiscent of Art Deco, rise past the roofline to frame the sundeck and conceal mechanical equipment. A gentle curve along Lake Shore Drive gives the building a distinctive presence on the lakefront.
465 North Park:
Located between Navy Pier and the historic Tribune Tower, 465 North Park brings a fresh sense of movement to the Chicago skyline. The 48-story tower, home to 444 residential units, is defined by two overlapping, rotated ellipses that create fluid curves and frame amazing views of the lake, river, and city. The building’s sculptural form contrasts with its rectilinear neighbors, while the floor plan maximizes space and orients windows toward Chicago’s most iconic views.
